Ambitiously Small

Sustainability Fund

In 2020, with an anchor gift of $250,000, the Board of Trustees established the Ambitiously Small Sustainability Fund.  Today, this fund has investments worth over $775,000.  These resources make it possible for Los Encinos School to remain a small school where everyone knows each other; where we honor diverse perspectives, cultures, and experiences, and value equity, inclusion, and justice; where cooperation and friendship span all grades; where students feel both safe and excited to take risks and try new things.

As a school devoted to the power of small, we accept and embrace the challenges to staying true to our mission.  Donors to the Ambitiously Small Sustainability Fund share the LES vision and have partnered with the school to provide stabilizing capital that can be invested for growth and accessed as needed for “big-picture priorities.”

The founding donors to this fund include current parents, alumni families, Board members, Faculty members, friends of Los Encinos, and private foundations.  The School and Board welcome donors to join our efforts in preserving the Los Encinos way so that the powerful advantages of a small school will be available for future generations of children.
