Gala in the Garden

In the spring, more than 225 attendees gathered to honor Los Encinos School at The Garland Hotel in North Hollywood for the annual spring gala we called, Gala in the Garden: Together We Grow. Led by gala co-chairs, Andrea Chapelle Levy and Ashley Brown, the evening proved to be a huge success and a beautiful way to come together as a community.

The fundraising initiatives commenced several weeks prior to the event, featuring the highly anticipated Teacher Experiences raffles. We extend our gratitude to the Raffle Committee and to the dedicated group of parents who sold tickets. Our Auction Chair, Anna Hopkins, managed a silent auction that consistently surpassed previous records and expectations. We appreciate the entire auction team and all those who contributed generous donations, ranging from gift cards to invaluable experiences.

The décor team, under the leadership of Lauren Parsly and Daniela Joanides played a crucial role in transforming our vision into a magical secret garden.

Guests were welcomed with themed, specialty cocktails and savored delectable appetizers to start the evening. They were then welcomed through floral and vine gates that opened into an enchanted outdoor ballroom. A heartwarming video that spoke to the power of small led to a spirited auction that set the tone for the vibrant evening — including a surprise appearance by a teacher led band, Lost & Found! (See videos on this page.)

The after-party featured a coffee bar and delicious desserts as well as the popular MirMir photo booth and an amazing DJ. Throughout the evening, the generosity of our community was prominently displayed, with contributions coming not only from current parents, faculty, and friends, but also from grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, and even prospective parents whose children had yet to begin their journey at the school. The magical, outdoor atmosphere provided an excellent opportunity for both current and prospective parents to connect and socialize in a unique setting, getting to know each other on a deeper level. It was a special and memorable evening that truly captivated our school spirit of “growing together”!
