ASL Fund

This year, Los Encinos School realized the long-held goal of launching an innovative American Sign Language (ASL) program. With a one million dollar grant and the support of other donors, LES partnered with experts in the field to begin instruction for the faculty and staff, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Sixth Grade during the inaugural school year. The grant for this program allows the school to grow the program each year until it is fully integrated across all grade levels and across disciplines. This groundbreaking initiative reflects the school’s commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and equipping our students with universal communication skills.

Through this initiative, we aim to transform the landscape of language education at Los Encinos School, opening doors to new ways of connecting and understanding. We believe that by embracing ASL, the school can offer its students and staff an invaluable tool for personal and communal growth.
