Peace, Love & LES GALA 2026

On April 25, 2026, more than 200 guests traded cocktail attire for bell-bottoms, fringe, and flower power at The Garland Hotel in North Hollywood for Peace, Love, and LES, our annual spring gala."
Chaired by Andrea Chapelle Levy (pictured far right – and far out – in the photo above), the evening was a joyful, high-spirited celebration of the Los Encinos community. Rain may have moved the party indoors, but it couldn’t dampen the mood. The hotel’s retro 60s style was the perfect backdrop for our theme, and the room buzzed with tie-dye, peace signs, and plenty of good vibes.
The fun began weeks before the event with the kick-off of our Teacher Experience raffle, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who gave their time, talent, and generosity along the way. Auction Chairs Missy Fox and Glenda Richardson led a silent auction that sparked spirited bidding, and we thank their entire team and every donor who contributed. Decor Chair Lauren Parsly and her committee turned the venue into a far-out tribute to the era, setting the stage for a magical night.
Then the music took over. Our very own parent band, Fleetwood Mac & Cheese, had the crowd on its feet with hits from the era. Our thanks go to band members Murph Murphy, Max Beesley, and Ian Scott for bringing this special act to life. When the band wrapped, the dance floor stayed packed as our own DJ George Peters II spun vinyl well into the night.
Above all, the evening showcased the generosity of our community. Proceeds from the Raise the Paddle appeal supported the summer remodel of our primary grade classrooms, the creative corner, and a new play structure. These improvements will benefit Los Encinos students for years to come. It was a night that captured the spirit of our school and a reminder that when we come together, there’s nothing but peace, love, and LES!
